Rattray’s Pheasant G 5 9mm Ash Wood Pipe + Graphite Inlay

The Rattray’s Pheasant G 5 Pipe combines a traditional straight Billiard shape with an unusual sandblasted ash-wood bowl, a heat-resistant graphite insert and a coloured acrylic mouthpiece inspired by the plumage of a pheasant.

The Pheasant series is based on the earlier Rattray’s 2.0 collection, which was introduced in 2010 with several classic filtered and non-filtered shapes. After these models became unavailable for a number of years, the concept was revived using carefully selected ash wood instead of briar.

The bowl is crafted from South American ash wood and finished with a deeply sandblasted brown surface. The pronounced grain and irregular texture give each pipe an individual appearance while creating a pleasantly tactile feel in the hand.

The letter “G” refers to the integrated graphite insert. This heat-resistant and taste-neutral lining protects the ash-wood bowl from direct heat and makes it possible to use this distinctive wood while maintaining reliable smoking performance and long-term durability.

The colour combination of the brown sandblasted bowl and the subtly patterned acrylic mouthpiece takes inspiration from the natural tones found in the plumage of a pheasant. This gives the series a rustic, outdoors-oriented character that is particularly appealing to hunters, collectors and nature enthusiasts.

Model 5 features a classic Straight Billiard shape with balanced proportions, a 45 mm bowl height and an overall length of approximately 140 mm. The straight construction offers a familiar, comfortable smoking position and gives the pipe a timeless appearance.

The coloured acrylic mouthpiece is drilled for standard 9mm filters, including VAUEN Dr. Perl Junior activated charcoal filters.

Each pipe is supplied new and unsmoked.
