The shape 178 features a broad, rounded Rhodesian bowl with a defined bowl line, paired with a half-bent shank and curved mouthpiece. Its generous proportions give the pipe a substantial traditional profile.

The briar is finished in Rattray’s Golden Contrast, highlighting the natural character of the wood through warm brown and golden tones.

A broad metal application marks the transition between the briar shank and mouthpiece and provides one of the distinctive decorative elements of the Monarch series.
