The Donegal Rocky holds a special place in Peterson’s history as the company’s first series of rusticated pipes. Introduced in 1945, its deeply textured surface and contrasting two-tone stain established a finish that has since become closely associated with Peterson’s traditional rusticated briar pipes.
The series takes its name from County Donegal in the north-west of Ireland, a region shaped by the Atlantic and known for its dramatic coastline, mountains and rugged natural landscape. Peterson Donegal Rocky XL02 – Full-Bodied Bent Apple
The XL02 is Peterson’s larger and more muscular interpretation of the classic Bent Apple. Its generously rounded bowl is paired with a stout shank and a tightly curved transition, producing a deep, flowing bend and a distinctly substantial profile.
