The Barling Admiral The Very Finest 1824 Pipe is a substantial straight Billiard briar pipe from Barling’s Admiral series, presented in the light The Very Finest smooth finish.
The smooth finish allows the natural character of the briar to remain clearly visible, while the traditional straight Billiard profile gives the pipe clean and balanced proportions. Its generous dimensions give this model the substantial presence associated with Barling’s Giant specification.
A distinctive feature of the Admiral The Very Finest is the decorative sterling silver ring between the briar shank and acrylic mouthpiece. The silver application provides an elegant contrast to the light briar and reflects Barling’s historic connection with silversmithing.

Barling – A British Pipe-Making Tradition Since 1812
Barling’s history began in London with silversmithing and the production of silver fittings for meerschaum pipes. During the nineteenth century, the family business developed from this silverworking tradition into pipe making, later becoming one of the historic names associated with classic English briar pipes.
This heritage can still be seen in the use of sterling silver, historic finish names such as The Very Finest, and the traditional English shapes and proportions associated with Barling pipes.
