The Peterson Donegal Rocky B10 is a distinctive Bent Calabash briar pipe combining one of Peterson’s more individual shapes with the rugged rusticated finish of the Donegal Rocky series. Its generously curved profile, substantial bowl and flowing transition create a strong silhouette that is unmistakably rooted in Peterson’s traditional Irish design language.
The Donegal Rocky holds a special place in Peterson’s history as the company’s first series of rusticated pipes. Introduced in 1945, its deeply textured surface and contrasting stain established a finish that has since become closely associated with Peterson’s traditional rusticated briar pipes.
The series takes its name from County Donegal in the north-west of Ireland, a region shaped by the Atlantic and known for its dramatic coastline, mountains and rugged natural landscape. The strongly textured briar of the Donegal Rocky reflects that character particularly well, giving each pipe an individual appearance while maintaining the practical nature of a traditional everyday pipe.
