The White Elephant Serengeti Grey 10 9mm Briar Pipe combines the heritage of the renowned German White Elephant brand with traditional Italian pipe craftsmanship. Crafted from carefully selected Mediterranean briar, it offers excellent heat resistance, comfortable balance and beautifully defined natural grain.

The elegant Bent Rhodesian shape is characterised by its broad bowl, decorative bead lines and gently curved stem. This timeless design provides a comfortable grip while delivering the classic appearance appreciated by experienced pipe smokers.

The pipe features a warm brown finish that highlights the natural beauty of the briar. A carefully matched briar accent between bowl and mouthpiece creates a harmonious transition and gives the Serengeti series its distinctive appearance.

The durable black acrylic mouthpiece provides excellent comfort and long-lasting performance while perfectly complementing the warm tones of the briar.

The pipe is fitted with a universal 9 mm filter system, compatible with all standard 9 mm pipe filters. Smokers can freely choose between activated carbon, meerschaum and other standard 9 mm filters.

The Story of White Elephant

White Elephant traces its roots to Ettenstatt, Bavaria, where Robert Maderholz produced high-quality briar pipes between 1945 and 1984.

In 1984, his son Michael Maderholz developed the company’s first machines for pipe-filter production. White Elephant subsequently became known for its premium pipe filters before later expanding into pipe-cleaner production.

Today, White Elephant is part of Kopp Filters and remains the only manufacturer of pipe cleaners in Germany.

After several decades away from pipe production, White Elephant has returned to its roots. The current pipe collection is manufactured in Italy for the German brand, combining White Elephant’s heritage with the expertise of traditional Italian pipe makers.
