Stanwell Vario 182 9mm Briar Pipe

The Stanwell Vario 182 Pipe combines one of Stanwell’s classic shapes with the distinctive and unusual finish that defines the Vario series. The 182 is a Half-Bent Apple, characterized by its rounded bowl, gently curved profile and balanced proportions.

What makes the Stanwell Vario series particularly distinctive is its special combination of two different finishes on a single pipe: textured sandblasted briar and contrasting smooth, polished sections.

Rather than finishing the entire pipe in either smooth or sandblasted briar, selected areas remain smooth and polished while the surrounding briar receives the darker sandblasted treatment. The contrast between the two surfaces creates the characteristic Vario appearance and makes the transition between the smooth and textured briar an important part of the design.

The Vario 182 combines dark sandblasted briar with contrasting smooth, polished areas. This distinctive combination gives the pipe its characteristic Vario character while retaining the rounded bowl and gently curved profile of the classic Stanwell 182 Half-Bent Apple shape.

A black acrylic mouthpiece completes the design.

The Stanwell Vario 182 Pipe is designed for use with a 9 mm filter.
